What’s In My Amazon Cart This Week As a Dog Breeder?
We’ve All Been There
The weekly Amazon order. We’ve all done it, now let me give you a sneak peak into what I ordered this week as a small scale Goldendoodle breeder with 2 litters currently occupying my living room!
This week we’re upgrading our puppy pens from a whelping box to a fenced in area. In an effort to cut down on debris escaping the fence, we’ve invested in these xl 72x72 inch washable potty pads.
We first introduced our puppies to water by using a slow feeder (prevents them from being able to face-plant into the bowl and drown). Once they have that nailed down and have better balance, we like to use regular dog bowls. This set holds 1 cup each and I love the attached mat to help cut down on spills and water absorption into the potty pad.
These are specific to puppies, but this whole time we’ve had two litters I’ve only had 2 bowls. I realistically need a few sets but 2 more should do the trick for now!
This is my most anticipated buy - puppy lick mats! This comes in a set of 4 and they aren’t too big or deep so the puppies should have a blast trying them out. I plan to fill them with some goat milk, wet puppy food from Purina Pro Plan, mashed bananas + sweet potatoes.
This is a huge pack of 25 dog toys. Perfect for puppies who destroy toys quickly or get them dirty every day. I know both litters will get a ton of use out of these.
These have been on my list since my girls were confirmed and I just never got around to ordering them. These collars are great for 3+ weeks old when puppies get more mobile. They break free if they get stuck in a corner or snagged on a bowl.
I’m quickly running out of cleaning gloves at home, why not order some cute ones to make cleaning a bit more fun? These look like they’re a great thickness and won’t break easily. Very much looking forward to trying this brand out.
I’ve had this book in my cart since the day I heard about it. I cook for my dogs in my own way, but I’m really looking forward to learning about different ingredients and plants, and how best to use them. Will be giving some recipes in this book a try in the next few weeks!
What’s Next?
As you get more into breeding and learn what to expect, these Amazon orders will become less frequent. I myself am still learning how to be the best Goldendoodle breeder I can be, and with that comes a lot of trial and error, especially with the products and methods I use.
