Starting at 8 Weeks Old -16 Weeks Old

Our 8-week training program is designed to give your puppy a comprehensive foundation in key behaviors, socialization, and obedience training. This program provides a structured and positive environment where your puppy can grow into a well-behaved, confident, and happy companion. Here's what is included:

Weeks 1 & 2: Crate Training, Potty Training, & Name Recognition

• Crate Training: We reinforce our prior training so your puppy continues to learn that the crate as a safe and cozy space. We build comfort with the crate through short intervals, helping your puppy learn to relax and settle down on their own.

• Potty Training: A consistent potty training routine is established with positive reinforcement, focusing on guiding the puppy to the appropriate potty spot (outdoor and through doggy door).

• Name Recognition: Your puppy will learn to respond to their name with enthusiasm, using positive reinforcement techniques such as treats and praise to encourage responsiveness.

Weeks 3 & 4: Basic Commands & Socialization

• Basic Commands: Introduction to essential commands such as “sit,” “stay,” “come,” and “down.” We reinforce these commands through short training sessions that keep your puppy engaged and eager to learn.

• Socialization: We expose your puppy to a variety of sights, sounds, people, and gentle interactions with other dogs. This helps build confidence and reduces anxiety in new environments.

Weeks 5 & 6: Leash Walking, Advanced Socialization, & Play Training

• Leash Walking: We introduce and develop leash manners, teaching your puppy to walk politely on a leash without pulling or becoming distracted. This is done in a calm, controlled environment to help your puppy adjust comfortably.

• Advanced Socialization: Continued exposure to new environments, including short visits to parks or public spaces (safely and appropriately), helps expand your puppy's experiences.

• Play Training: We focus on structured playtime to teach boundaries, bite inhibition, and appropriate interaction with humans and other dogs.

Weeks 7 & 8: Advanced Commands, Continued Socialization, & Grooming Preparation

• Advanced Commands: Building on the basics, your puppy will work on more advanced commands such as “leave it,” “drop it,” and “wait.” We also begin off-leash recall training in safe, enclosed areas.

• Continued Socialization: We reinforce socialization through new stimuli and situations, ensuring your puppy remains confident and adaptable.

• Grooming Preparation: We continue weekly to grooming sessions including brushing, nail clipping, and ear cleaning. Your puppy will become familiar with being handled, reducing stress during future grooming appointments.

Program Benefits:

This extended program not only covers the essentials of potty training, crate training, and basic obedience but also enhances social skills, leash manners, and advanced commands. By the end of the 8 weeks, your puppy will be well on their way to becoming a well-rounded and obedient member of the family, making the transition to their new home much easier. Your puppy will receive their second & third rounds of vaccines.

Payment Schedule:

First payment of $1700 will be due when the puppy turns 8 weeks old. Second payment will be due when puppy turns 12 weeks old. Training will not start until payment is received. If you have any questions please contact me, I’m happy to help!
